Primary Care for Older Adults
Dr. Hutchinson has advanced training and years of hands-on experience caring for older adults, and that experience has taught him something simple but important: the goals of healthcare at 85 are not the same as they are at 45. What matters most can shift over time — staying independent, keeping your energy for the people and activities you love, avoiding unnecessary procedures, and feeling confident in the plan you and your doctor have built together.
That's why Dr. Hutchinson takes his time to truly listen. Before recommending anything, he works to understand who you are, what you value, and what you want the years ahead to look like. So when a specific medical concern comes up, he doesn't hand you a single set of instructions. Instead, he walks you through the options, explains the trade-offs in plain language, and helps you choose the path that fits your health and your unique goals. You stay in the driver's seat — with an experienced guide beside you.

A Quarterback for Your Care

As we get older, it's common to be managing several health conditions at once, often with more than one specialist involved. Keeping track of every recommendation, understanding how your medications interact, and figuring out what to do when two doctors say different things can feel overwhelming — and it shouldn't fall on you or your family to sort out.
That's where Dr. Hutchinson comes in. He acts as the quarterback for your care, coordinating directly with your specialists by calling and messaging them himself. He makes sure everyone is working from the same playbook, that your medications make sense together, and that the overall plan fits the goals you've set together. You get one trusted doctor who sees the whole picture, so you're never left trying to connect the dots alone.
Direct Access to Your Doctor
When you're a patient of Dr. Hutchinson's, you get his cell phone number and his email address. If you have a question or a concern, you can reach him directly — no phone trees, no waiting days for a callback, no relaying your symptoms through three different people. It's simple, direct communication with the doctor who already knows you.
And when something urgent comes up, you won't be sent to an emergency room or urgent care by default. For most issues, Dr. Hutchinson can see you the same day or the next day, so you get timely attention from someone who understands your history and your health.

Visits That Are Never Rushed
So much of good medicine comes down to time, and most appointments simply don't allow enough of it. Dr. Hutchinson's visits are different: annual visits are 90 minutes and follow-up visits are 60 minutes. That means there's room to discuss everything on your mind — not just the one or two concerns a typical rushed appointment allows.
It also means there's time to talk about the things that truly shape your long-term health. What are you eating for breakfast? For lunch? What kind of movement or exercise are you doing? How are you sleeping at night? These everyday details matter enormously as we age, and having unhurried time together lets Dr. Hutchinson build your care around them — not just react to problems as they arise.

A Relationship That Makes Care Feel Personal
At the heart of all of this is a simple idea: you deserve a real relationship with your doctor. When Dr. Hutchinson knows you — your history, your values, your worries, and what makes a good day for you — your care can feel comfortable, familiar, and genuinely tailored to you rather than one-size-fits-all.
That kind of relationship takes time and attention, and it's exactly what this practice is built to provide. The goal is that you'll never feel like a number or a chart, but like a person whose doctor knows you well and is fully in your corner.

Polaris Primary Care follows a membership model often referred to as concierge medicine or direct primary care. Patients pay a simple annual fee for access to all of his care, and Dr. Hutchinson does not bill insurance for his services — which is what frees him to offer extended visits, direct access, and the personal attention described above.
Your existing insurance still plays its usual role for everything outside the office: any medications, imaging, and visits to specialists are billed through your insurance as they normally would be.
You can learn more about our membership model here or if you'd like to speak with Dr. Hutchinson directly you can book a new member consultation below.
During the 30 minute virtual or in-person meeting you and Dr. Hutchinson will discuss what type of care you are looking for, our direct access model, pricing and if this approach is the right fit for you.
